he primary purpose of the coalition is to support a more competitive and balanced marketplace in public golf that is both supportive of the golf course owner, operator, PGA professional and the golf consumer. This will be accomplished by promoting adoption of online tee time guidelines and best practices among technology companies, online agents, marketers, golf course operators, general consumers, and the media.
Managing Director, Golf USA Tee Time Coalition
Working on behalf of the Golf USA Tee Time Coalition, Jared ensures golf course owners and operators have access to information and educational resources on matters involving online tee time distribution. He also is working with the Coalition to develop a set of standards and best practices for those systems and companies which have access to tee time inventory and that promote these tee times online. Before joining the Coalition, Williams worked in compliance and legislative affairs in college athletics. He is a former college golfer who has a law degree and experience working in the golf industry.
His golf industry experience includes completing a PGA Professional Golf Management (PGM) Internship at TPC Sawgrass, working with Tee Sheet Software and Point of Sale Systems in the Golf Shop at TPC Louisiana, working in the LPGA’s legal department, and working for the AJGA.
